PS Dept. is a start-up, mobile personal shopping service founded in NYC. Updating and overhauling the somewhat antiquated industry of the Personal Shopper, PS Dept. breathes new life into the phrase. The new version of the Personal Shopper gets you whatever you need, isn’t tied to inventory, and pulls it off quickly. To say we’re redefining Personal Shopping is true, but our real goal is to redefine shopping as an industry. We are looking for people who are insanely talented and passionate about shaking up the retail industry to join our team.

Online Stylist (Full Time, Freelance)– New York City, NY

PS Dept. is the Personal Shopping Department – as an Online Stylist, you are representing our brand in re-defining service standards within the industry for the mobile consumer. Utilizing your service oriented nature and stylish expertise, you will deliver an unparalleled personal shopping experience to customers worldwide. You are joining the first mobile personal shopping team built from the ground up, and will make an immediate impact on the company’s overall performance:

What You'll Do
  • Service new and existing clients in their product searches and personal styling requests
  • Pull on-trend recommendations from our product catalog, utilize data and current trends to increase conversion and retention
  • Utilize our offline brand & associate networks to find hard to get items for client product searches 
  • Achieve monthly sales targets and demonstrate consistent growth in line with the company growth rate as the result of 10X better customer service and style recommendations
  • Uphold our objectives of “the best service ever” in app, over the phone and e-mail.
  • Demonstrate exceptional product knowledge and an eagerness to know all about the newest products, designers, stores, trends, etc.
  • Deliver on our point of view - you are shopping for the most savvy, sophisticated clients in the world and you'll know exactly what to send them for any type of inbound request
  • Provide feedback to Client Services, Product, and Tech teams to improve service and scalability of the shopping experience
  • Partner with Customer Service teams to handle purchase, delivery, and return flow; ensure clients are always informed before they ask
  • Build relationships with new clients and strong retention rates for existing clients 
  • Develop strong relationships with brands, associates, and potential partners to expand the PS network
  • Grow the PS Dept. client base via word of mouth, recommendations from clients, attending industry events, associate referrals, etc.  
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Assistant Management experience and above a plus
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a fast paced, service oriented work environment
  • Posses an eagerness to work in a fast-paced, high-growth mobile start-up environment
  • Experience with direct selling, teaching or e-commerce preferred in a client facing role
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience dealing with luxury clientele – you "get it"
  • In-depth knowledge of designers/luxury retail (you know what’s in and where to get it)
  • A people person & a shopping enthusiast, your friends' go-to person for style advice
  • Mobile app savvy – you use everything from Instagram to Amazon on a daily basis
  • Obsessive organizational abilities, with a meticulous attention to detail
  • Both Full Time and Freelance positions available in New York City. Freelance positions must be available to work online minimum 15 hours a week. Special preference for weekend availability.

Customer Service Associate – New York City, NY

As a Customer Service Associate, you will utilize your resourcefulness, love of fashion/tech and bend-over-backwards attitude to help build the service team from the ground up, making an immediate impact on the company’s overall performance:

What You'll Do
  • Oversee the procurement, tracking, follow-up and return process for in app orders
  • Assist the Personal Shoppers in sourcing and securing on-trend items for clients
  • Maintain relationships with in-store associates to better service our clients
  • Develop a proactive responsiveness, always be one step ahead of each client’s needs related to tracking numbers, product details, returns, and purchase inquiries
  • Secure in demand products- your unrelenting passion for finding hard to get items wins over clients on a daily basis (sold out online is just a starting point)
  • Uphold our objectives of “the best service ever” in app, over the phone and e-mail
  • Process orders and execute follow-ups to ensure clients love their purchases
  • Manage our client dashboard in order to efficiently deliver great client service and responses
  • Utilize Twitter/social resources to help drive our client service needs
  • Contribute feedback and ideas for improvement on how we can optimize our experience

Brand Specialist (Full Time, Part Time, Evening, Weekend Openings) – New York City, NY

As a Brand Specialist, you will utilize your resourcefulness, love of fashion/tech, and bend-over-backwards attitude to help build the product search team from the ground up, making an immediate impact on the company's overall performance.

What You'll Do
  • Source products across RTW, shoes, and accessories for assigned list of luxury brands
  • Create network of Sales Associates across retail and specialty stores for assigned brands
  • Assist Personal Shoppers in sourcing and securing on-trend items for clients
  • Secure in-demand products -- your unrelenting passion for finding hard to get items wins over clients on a daily basis (sold out online is just a starting point)
  • Maintain relationships with in-store associates and contacts to source luxury products for brands like Celine, Chanel, Mansur Gavriel, Balenciaga, etc.
  • Uphold our objectives of "the best service ever" in app, over the phone, text, and e-mail
  • Process orders and execute follow-ups to ensure clients love their purchases
  • Manage our client dashboard in order to efficiently deliver great client service and responses
  • Contribute feedback and ideas for improvement on how we can optimize our experience

Brand Marketing – New York City, NY

As a Brand Marketer, you are leading our customer growth strategy, building audience around our service mission and extending our reach. You inherently understand our customer’s needs and use your passion for great service (and shopping) to drive acquisition through innovative sales initiatives. You are building our brand marketing and partnership strategy from the ground up, and will have an immediate impact on both the company’s performance and retail industry:

What You'll Do
  • Develop and execute overall marketing strategy to deliver consumer growth at scale
  • Champion our customers and create & deliver exciting and relevant value add experiences in partnership with our brands that grow our customer base
  • Implement, initiate and on-board strategic marketing opportunities, partnerships, and alliances to acquire and convert new customers as well as grow our brand positioning
  • Lead growth and development of marketing channels (email, social, partnerships, promotions)
  • Build brand awareness via PR and social strategies
  • Oversee end to end PS Dept. experience opportunities from in-store acquisition to retention, ensuring marketing roll-outs are consistent across all channels
  • Develop local marketing initiatives to further expand our presence across regional markets

Who You Are
  • Three or more years of experience in marketing or relevant experience in digital media

Online Merchandiser – New York City, NY

As Online Merchandiser, you understand the needs of our stylish consumer end to end and will create and execute the visual look and feel of the content feed to inspire customers to ask and engage. We are the only shopping destination to deliver a true high low mix- the place customers come to score their new Celine bag, a Zara top and fly knits – your content embodies this lifestyle and inspires our customers daily, driving app usage and sales conversion. You will be building our merchandising team from the ground up and will have an immediate impact on the company’s performance:

What You'll Do
  • Source and create IRL and brand imagery relevant to our customers to create a constant flow of fresh, new content to maximize sales and increase overall daily sessions per customer
  • Develop our voice of authority, creating a destination for customers to find out what’s happening in-store in real-time, be the first to post new deliveries, sales, hot items, promotions, etc.
  • Stay ahead of what’s next in fashion, editing the season into wearable looks and pieces to deliver the best content feed focused on quality content over quantity
  • Evaluate, plan and optimize merchandising around customer requests and seasonality i.e. solve our customers' problems by improving content posts based on success metrics,
  • Oversee interns on the ground/in-store creating IRL content from our partner stores
  • Increase daily sessions per user, drive conversion, and build a core following for our content
  • Launch our influencer program with Brand marketing, source content contributors relevant to our audience, edit and execute their content to grow and engage audience
  • Work directly with the Brand Marketer, Brand Manager, & Community Managers to stay connected to partner marketing initiatives
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Three or more years of experience as a senior online visual merchandiser or relevant experience in digital media
  • Proven track record of growing both significant audience and conversion metrics
  • Equally driven creatively as you are at analyzing data, measuring results, and testing strategies

Personal Shopping Internship – New York City, NY

As a Personal Shopping Intern, you will utilize your resourcefulness, love of fashion/tech and bend-over-backwards attitude to assist the company across functions.

What You'll Do
  • Assist the Personal Shoppers and Brand Specialists in sourcing and securing on-trend items for clients
  • Uphold our objectives of "the best service ever" in app, over the phone, and e-mail
  • Process orders and execute follow-ups to ensure clients love their purchases
  • Visit partner stores and shoot products for updating our online feed
  • Network with associates during store visits
  • Curate buzzy, social product-based content for in-app feed
  • Source IRL and brand imagery relevant to our customers to create a constant flow of fresh, new content to maximize sales and increase overall daily sessions per customer
  • Perform various administrative duties, including customer service returns at retail stores
